Desc: Paterson and Its People: Directed by Vince Parrillo. This film traces the demographic changes in Paterson, New Jersey, from its pre-European history as the home of the Lenape, through its successive waves of immigrants, on to its present-day diversity. Using archival photos and on-location video footage, this program tells of the famous Patersonians and famous visitors, but mostly pays tribute to the ordinary citizens of various ethnic and racial groups who contributed to the city's social and economic fabric before their replacement by the next group of arrivals.
